do any of you guys have MRD-M1005's? they are 1000W RMS and im just wondering if that would be overkill, or just slightly larger than needed but much worth the pound? the subs ahve a 500W RMS. i know alot of you dont like the pound anymore, but i do

I love some good bass, but I'm sticking to my eclipse stuff, dont know anything about MRD-M1005's but if there 1000RMS there probably pretty loud.
u dont think that 1000W would be too much for 500Wrms 1500Wmax sub though?
I have 2 Alpine type R's 12's and this exact amp... They are loud as hell... Alpine amps with alpine subs are a great match, and you will not be disappointed with the sound. Amp might be a little too powerful for the 10's, so just turn the gain down a bit if u get it.

tim86 i have 2 type r 12''s and 2 power acoustik amps(980watts a piece) and it bangs i just need a new box. i like ur car mine is silver as well but getting painted at the moment. ill get u some pics

sounds good man... I used to have a power acoustik area-51 amp with my audiobahns that was pretty decent... I bet your type R's sound real nice with an amp to each though (I love mine). thanks for the compliment too, I def like silver celicas the best! Post some pics up!
