Topic #34499 13 posts Started by jayi12-15psi
how the **** do you get this ****ing ********* *** **************** off? it's an allen key bolt with a nut on it and i'd assume you have to wrench the nut whilst holding the bolt still with the allen key. but, this is ****ing impossible, or so it would seem. how have you guys taken this **** off?

how in the name of ****ing jesus? this requires about 200 times the amount of torque you can possibly apply with either a regular wrench or a ****ing allen key. i sawzalled that **** to buddhist nirvana and then **** on its grave.

wd40 then torch it real hot. repeat again and again til it loosens. don't overtorque it and ruin the key. be careful not to do both at the same time and burn yourself tongue.gif and be careful to keep the heat away from brake lines and struts.

These piss'ed me off so bad.... Mine wouldent budge a inch no matter PB blaster / WD40, I ended up just drillin them out, but if you cant get them off there like 40$ each from the dealership eh...

Use a hex head piece with a socket.

With a socket wrench, you'll be able to apply far more torque than you ever will with a piddly allen key. Allen key is also likely to bend or snap too.
Using the correct tools for a job makes it a lot easier wink.gif

i'm telling you... you should torch it.. it worked on my 5th gen and it was rusted like hell. no matter how much torque you give it, the hex in the middle get ruined from too much torque.
