Would a 2" Drop work with stock rims + tires or should i just get some rims and springs at the same time?

I recommend you wait till you get your rims, then lower it

IMO you should wait to get the rims and springs at the same time, i don't know about technical issues
but it would look silly with stock rims...

Well I had the Intrax (1.75") springs on stock wheels.. and it looked nice.

a 2" drop on stock wheels will be fine just remember driveways and speed bumps must be taken at an angle

2 inch drop...im just not feeling the 1.5 inch drop...i dont know but its just me...for me 2 inch in front and 1.8 in the rear makes the car look nice...my cuz had his like that stock with 17x17.5 and hell it looked great...i have a friend who has a 1.5 inch drop and um...looked stock/still pretty high...i dont know but i've always liked the celicas low...
GODD i want some coilovers but just cant afford them
then all my problems/questions would be solved
Edit: correct me if im wrong but i heard the ground control coilovers didnt ride too nice and that its kind of a waste

They're ride is suposed to be stiff. If you get adjustable shocks you might be able to negate the hard spring oscilation.

Go for it. I personally recommend coilovers over springs due to the adjustability. Even with stock rims
it should look better.

I got a question too. I'm planning to keep my stock rims/tires, no body kit or sideskirts, how large a drop would look nice??? And what's like the good brands of springs? Oh yeah, whats the diff. between coilovers and drop springs???

normally i would say research and dont be lazy.........but im feeling nice. Coilovers=ajustable up to 4in or 3in drop. Lowering springs permanet drop. But the ride that coilovers provide is............."up to personal opinion" They can ride like crap or not to bad. But brand quality means more then anything really. I prefer springs personally. I am going to be putting on Intrax springs which are very good quality along with Teins and Eibach. Just search the parts database is going to be your best bet.

does anyone have the tanabe df210 (2"-2 1/2" drop) on their cars? just curious how nice the drop would look? kinda want to see them on stock rims........thanks
Technically speaking from TRD's point of view (TRD Suspension kit), the ride height they engineered for best handling on the street would be a 35mm drop in the front and 15mm drop at the rear. For circuit purposes, TRD recommends a 50mm drop in the front and a 30mm drop at the rear. This information is for a AT200/ST20x

so yea in other words...your 2" drop will be for circuit in the front and disFU*Ktional in the rear. I wouldn't lower the rear anywhere past 1.25". Keep it (rear) in the range of .5" to 1.25".
