I have a 3rd gen 3sgte from an st205. I was wondering if anyone has used msd instead of the factory ignitor because sourcing a 3rd gen coil and ignitor is becoming difficult and or expensive. Any info would be great. thanks lance

Yeah the engine needs a bov intercooler piping an ignition or ignitor and I am ready to start her. I also seem to have lost my alltrack gear selector the part that hooks to the cables for shifting if anyone has an extra set. thanks Lance

ya it's have the same # (90919-02209) as 5sfe so the 5sfe it's in the distributor and the 3sgte is extern and on the firewall...
I dont understand why the # is the same... I look if I can keep out the 5sfe one

The coil is in the distributor. I'll have to check the EPC tonight and see if the coil from a different car will work. I don't think you'd have a problem with an MSD coil though.
