i was just watching CNN. they said that the Razr is being pulled off the market and recalled for problems with droped calls and issues with the phone not wanting to turn off ...lol glad i didnt buy it!

good thing i have the cdma version for verizon, which isnt part of the recall.

only the gsm razrs for cingular and tmobile have been recalled.

As forkee said, it's only for the gsm Razr's AND only if it was made after January 30th. So if it's before then, it's fine..

lmao. that seems to be a big problem with motorola. certain v600's had the same problem.thats why i havent bought the slvr yet...

man i have the v600....no wonder it SUCKS so bad! when i took it back they neva tols me about ne recall, they told me to call customer service, good thing my contract is up on the 26th of march!

i had the same problems with my v300 . it would just drop the call even if the signal was good. so it seems to be a common motorolla issue. i ended up getting a samsung and havent had any problems with it at all.

I have a razr.. had it since september.. no problems here... only one i had was the speaker blew... so traded it in and got another one... no problems other than that :-)

I had a very similar problem with my LG phone for cingular, now i have a sony ericsson and it freakin rox.

I have the v557 now, and the other day it freaked out and started doing a strobe effect. A few days before, the clock was upside down on the face.

Everyonce in a while it freaks out with calls. Yesterday I tried calling my friend, and it didn't ring, but went straight to a recording of some lady speaking SPanish....

That, and I had to get it replaced once already for the speaker breaking when you closed it, b/c they didn't put enough padding between the face and the other part to keep it from breaking the plastic around the speaker.

I love the phone's design and features, but hate the problems...

In general Motorola is crap. I'm not necessarily trying to be biased but this opinion is based on customer returns and many years in the wireless business. They do however come up with so very innovative designs like the RAZOR, PEBL, and SILVR. However, the menu system and functions is basically the same $hit that was in the previous model. For instance, a $100 Motorola has basically the same functionality as a $200 plus Motorola. Oh and Sony Ericsson is really starting to make great phones!! Nokia and Samsung rulz in quality and functionality.

ive never had problems with any of my motorola phones and i'm on my 3rd one
a couple of my friends have the razr too and haven't any problems at all.. so i wonder what this is all about!

I work for T-Mobile and if you purchased a RAZOR before the 1st of March you are okay. True YOU may not have had problems with Motorola but I made my previous statement based off of my experinces with motorola products, from customers returns, which hurts my pockets as my job is commissioned based, and others within the industry. However I do like the Motorola V360 and in my opinion it is ALOT better option as opposed to the RAZOR. It is like $50 dollars cheaper and has more figures. The Pebl is okay as well but the real point I wanted to make was that Motorola doesn't offer that much of a leap in terms of features from subsequent models.

i know im late but damn! i knew my razr was a piece of crap! it drops calls and wont turn off sometmies...$@$&* razr...

Before you guys get all worked up its not all Razors, just GSM V3i Razor. It was just released with Itunes. It has been recalled but it was recalled by Motorola so unless u got your Razor like this month most likely u don't got the kind thats effected.

I just got my self a 8125 aka HTC Wizard i must say its one of the best phones on the market.

ug razor sucks ...im on my THIRD razor...the first time my reciever was blown the second time the reciever wont even damn work ...hopefully this new one wont have ne defects
