Is anyone bottoming out with their lowering springs? Like hitting a descently sized hole or bump and hearing a large "thump", knowing that your bump stop just took a beating!

I'm asking cause I got some tein s-tech installed on my 5th gen (suspension is the same I'd guess) and with stock replacement shocks its easy to bottom out.

Is it something to live with with a 1.5" drop? Or its because my car is 300 lbs heavier than a 6th gen...

The springs arent boucy, very stable, I love the ride... but as I said...bumps stops doesn't like 'em. lol

Are your replacment shocks brand new? Thats norm a sign of warn shocks. I have only bottomed out by hitting the ground, not my shocks bottoming out. Thats not good.

check for blown struts

ok so you put 6th gen springs on your 5th gen, I dont know about that but if the spring rate is right it should not be bottuming out, I bet its because the car is heavier, but if you bottum out your gana blow your shocks very quick if there not already. call up tein and ask for there spring rates on both cars as well as spring length, if there the same its a shock problem if not your gana wana change your springs.
