There is a great deal on a set of 255/35-19 for sale locally, I would be really interested in picked them up, but I am unsure about fitment. If it would just mean running some wheel spacers or mabey gettin different offset rims I would still be intersted. I am running:

KYB Gr2's
H&R lowering springs

ADR GT's 19x8

Edit: Mabey just fit in the back?

I have AXIS 19x8.5" wheels with a 35mm offset
with S-tech's and KONI(non-adj.)

the tires are a 235/35/19 TOYO T1-S proxes, and if I hit a dip going too fast my rear passenger tire will scrape on the inner side of the fender, but on the passenger side(weird??) but I had a hump on the pass. side of the inside of my hatch that I had to "bend" a little to fit my nitrous bottle where I wanted.

I also am planning on doing the 255-35/19's but before I do that I plan to get the TEIN SS Coil-over to be able to raise the car a little closer to stock height

but personnaly I think that 255's are too wide for the 8" wheels...But I think if your car is only about an inch lower than stock height AND IF your offset is correct- that it would look very good on the rim and it would
"hug" the rim alot.

See there enlies one of the problems I am unsure of the offest, but they sit about 1/2" in from the outside of the fender, if that helps at all.

I have always been a fan of the big tire/big rim combo and I was expecting only even a few people to even respond to this, you more then likely being one of them.

I have no rubbing issues at all, which I always thought was kinda strange with all the 17/18" people having problems, I am about 1-1.5" lower then stock.

In the rear, I believe they would fit no problem, being the front tho with having to steer and all I see complications. I think if either one of us can get the 255 setup to work nicely it would be a nice upgrade from the 205-225 I see that most people run.

Idealy I want to get Axis Seven Mod 19x9 with a 255 tire but little rich for my blood at the time being. It might just be worth waiting to get that setup when the time comes.

- Side note - Do you love it too, when people ask "what are those 18s", nope 19"s.

i dont think 255s would fit. at least not without having to modify the wheel well.

225 or 235 are really the widest you can go.

What is the offset? I am pretty sure that 255/35 or 30 in front will be difficult to turn the wheel due to not enough clearance....Tyre will be rub the inner side when you made full turn...

Another point is the wider wheel and tyre you get the rough feel you will get since the 19" wheel require at least 36 PSI of tyre pressure to avoid bending when drive in normal...then at 36 PSI or above + low profile tyre = rough feel...

my is 8.5 front and 9.5 read, 19" tyre 235/35 front and 265/30 rear tyre pressure 38 psi f-r...
no problem on daily drive...

I have tried a 255/35/19 on my front and didn't have any problems because I thought that that(the front) would be my problem, but then I ended up just doing a 235 all around just to be on the safe side and I ended up having troulble in the rear.

So front should be fine- depending on wheel offset

Nampetch - I would imagen with full widebody and correct offsets that you should be able to get some bigger meats underthere.


Yeah I am try'n to avoid a staggered Offest/Rim size but we'll see. I have no doubts they will fit in the back, but the front just gonna play around with them in the front. I'm pretty sure that everyone knows that 19"s are for the look and not the ride quality. I love the look of them and try'n to get some more performance out of them. I plan on picking up a set of 18"s in the future and running the same tire size for track purpose's.

With the widebody kit I got, 9.5" front and 10.5" rear could be fit with no doubt. However the tyre would be 235/35 (front) anyway or 245/35 maximum...rear tyre could be 275/30.
My offest in front (8.5") is -9 and -3 (9.5")rear. THe reason I pushed 8.5" and 9.5" becuase I believed that front-wheel-drive mechanism may not be able to live longer with the big wheel and tyre (especially in front).
