anone runnig nitrous, wondering if u had to change anything before it was "ok" to run, i heard spark plugs should be changed and maybe some other stuff?.. any comments besides its stupid and dont do it ur gonna blow ur motor, would be helpful

Nick...NO
I said NO!
I said NO!

lol its only gonna be for purging but jus gathering some info
you want to your fuel system, like injectors, fuel pump, fuel rail... pretty much anything fuel related.
fuel pressure safety switch, 1 step colder plugs, make sure your timing is stock or a few degrees retarded...
2005 MB C200 Kompressor- K&N, Apexi WS2 Catback, DIY Voltage stabilizer, Intrax Springs, H&R RR swaybar, VDO Boost Gauge @ 6psi, Greddy L7 plugs, +0 Rear tiresTo Do: E-manage Ultimate tuned up to 12psi
a wet sysetem also controls and adds extra fuel into the intake as well, if i am not mistaken but i might be because i havent done any resarch on this in a grip
i am running nitrous and am very disappointed with the power gain i get from it. The purge is cool on it but dont spend that kinda money on a nitrous kit for the purge and be wasting the nitrous, it is expensive to fill it up everytime also. do what they said, make sure you have enough fuel, cuz sometimes when i spray i get to lean and detonation occurs. Also colder spark plug is a must, and retarding the timing. And it isnt NAWS, it is nitrous, NOS is a brand of a company that sells Nitrous kits. lol

For a celica wet is prolly the way to go, because these are older cars and they prolly cant take too much detonation.

upgrade the fuel pump
full tune up
retard timing
use conservativly
that will get you a setup that will be fairly reliable, given that you start out with a healthy motor and dont run too big of a shot
i ran a 100shot through my WRX. it was fun, but expensive

i wouldnt trust it on my motor, let alone a stock 5sfe. will it work, sure? youll get a few joy rides out of it, but pretty soon you can bet there will be some internal damage.

I think theres alot of misconceptions around here concerning the effectiveness and safety of nitrous.
First off, just because it has an unfortunate ricer connotation when you hear the phrase "NOS" or "NAWWS" doesn't mean that it isn't an extremely effective way of squeezing that much more power out of your motor safely. Sure there are added stresses involved....but if you keep the shot within the tolerances of the motor and have a professionally tuned fuel and timing map it shouldnt be unreasonable to run on a more frequent basis with great results.
Also, using nitrous on a boosted motor isn't such a horrible thing....it can reduce detonation and cool your boost significantly if you're running a highly pressurized motor. Its a great option to use in drag racing if you eed to cram out some extra power, but of course only if you can support and tune in the nitrous' presence.
If you don't tune properly, then of course you'll blow your motor. Thats a given. Alot of systems probably don't work as reliably or effectively as the ycould because they use a very simple interface designed for ease of installation and easy operation to get the job sort of done. But if you utilize a colder plug, retarded the timing or used an ignition device that would progressively retard the timing according to the ammount of knock/ air fuel ratio, and an upgraded fuel system then I don't see why it would be a bad thing at all. In fact, I'd like to see what somebody could do with a setup like that.
