I was just looking around and i haven't noticed any 6gc with a 3sgte swap using a first gen 3sgte. Is the 2nd generation 3sgte really that much better than the first generation?

Here's some info on the differences. Most people get the 2nd gen because it's newer and it has more HP.

stay away from the 1st gen . stick with the 2nd or 3rd gens. 1st gens were made in the mid 80s and are a lot slower. youll have a hard time finding one in good shape.

ok thanks a lot guys. So ive been thinking of doing the swap for about 3 years now but i just never have the money to do it. And think about how im going to pass e-check and everything and a whole bunch of stuff starts poppin up in my head. Since im still kind of low on cash, i guess a 2nd gen clip would be the best choice.

yeah i was looking into the first gen 3sgte becuase i was thinking of getting an ST165 to drive around.

Which clip has more performance upgrades available for it the 185 or the 165?

1st gens also had issues with over-heating.

Im pretty sure the st185 has more performance upgrades. They don't even make a CF hood for the st165, which is why i've decided on the 185.
