front wheel hub - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #35128 7 posts Started by morbiddelusions
Hello i just bought a 94 celica st and the previous owner had the front wheel berrings replaced.
The guy that pressed the new berrings in didn't pack them and six months later they
went out again.
Thus being the reason the guy sold it to me.
The problem i am having is that the berrings locked up in the race and fried the hubs.
does anyone know if the hubs from another toyota celica year might work or possibly
a different model? camery or corolla?
Cause the local u pull it has a shortage of celicas.
Also does it matter if it is from an automatic or manual trans mine is a/t?
Any help would be appreicated.

the only problem with hubs is whether you have abs or not. if not then any 6gc hub will work

I don't think it does i took the whole front spindle off and there were no sensors or anything but will one from another gen like a 5g work or maybe a different model?

5th gen hubs are different.

The 6th gen GT and ST hubs are the same.

I think Im going to have to disagree with you. I know that the rears off a GT were the same as on mine when I bought them for the rear swap. They fit on the rear fine

I'm pretty sure the fronts are different, but I can check the EPC when I get home to verify.
