Hello guys just wondered if you guys have noticed this on your celicas.
-When I go to take off from a stop sign with enough go pedal that I can spin a tire when I hit a patch of dirt my steering wheel will kick to one side and the car will go that way until I compensate for this. I believe this is called "understeering or oversteering" I can't remember the technical term used, but it is common on front wheel drive cars....
-Now I find it really annoying, say if you wanted to really take off and instead of going in a straight line you are fighting the steering wheel from moving side to side.
-Is there anything that would help with this? Say different "size" tires or a higher pressure power steering pump to hold the tires straight with less force needed.
-I used to drive a turbo charged rear wheel drive car and did not have any of this to deal with, it makes me want my rear wheel drive back!!!!!! Any thoughts ideas????
