bleeding the clutch - 6G Celicas Forums
Pretty standard... nothing special.
Pump all the air out of the line.
I will return one day.
take a vaccum line from the intake manifold and t into it. the hose you just ran, run into the lid of a peanut butter jar.
now have a hose coming out of the jar touching the bottom of the jar. and plug that one into the bleeding nipple.
then run the car and the vaccum will pull all the air out. once all the air is out tighten the nipple and your done.

umm who told u to do that? seems like a very odd way to bleed.
the correct way is to have somone pump the clutch pedal a few times and hold it down. then the other person puts clear tubing over the nipple and the end of the line goes into a small cup that you full with brake fluid. then turn the nipple to open thw flow, and watch for air bubbles. do this as many times as u need to, untill u see now more bulbbles. also, keep a close eye on the fill hole and keep adding fresh brake fuild into it so that it dosnt run dry and add more air into the system.

those things work OK for a while but the rubber in them isnt made to handle brake fluid and it'll be dead in a year

i would be scared to suck up brake fluid into the engine through that vac line.
they sell bleeding lines at pepboys for 3 bucks. its just a hose with a 1 way check valve in it. all you do is open the nipple and pump the pedal , if you want to do a one man job.
