well noticed a day before i went on vacation that the clica was making a strange noise when it increased in speed. took it to the transmission place and it turns out that something in the diff is messed up and it will be cheaper to replace it than to rebuild........NOOOOOO!!!!

my question is this : what other transmissions will fit this engine?
this has probably been posted before but I couldn't find it. it should be asticky if it isnt already

1. 5sfe-S54 tranny?
2. 3sge-S5X tranny?
3. 3sgte-E153 tranny from mr2
4. Solara V6 5spd tranny


#s 3 & 4 require custom motor mounts and axles.
#2 some come with an LSD not sure which ones those were though (redtop Beams tranny?)

No since it has the 1zz-ge engine in it not the 7a-fe.

Actually, the newer Celica's are using a newer version of the same C series trans as the 7A's and 4A used. I'm pretty sure they'll bolt right up, but check with monkeywrenchracing.com to verify.

how does 300 sound for a 94 5 spd with 35k on it???
