is it possible to roll up a power window with the switch not working or the motor bein dead. anyway this is possible. i am having a issue with my car that i cant roll up the passenger side window. i want to roll it up manually and just not touch it again you know. i have to leave my window open at night now any help would be great. i checked the switch itself and it worked. so i want to test the connection to the windows because i dont even hear the motor trying to roll up. its not doing nothing. and if it was dying it would atleast make some noise right? thanks

how did you check the switch to make sure it works?
it would be possible to roll it up manually, but if you have the money you should go ahead and replace it because its a little work to get in there.

Power Window Regulator - How To Change

thats should give you an idea of how the parts look

if you dont want to replace it, you could try switching in the motor from your driver side and see if that rolls it up or you could take the metal plate off the cover where the regulator and motor meet and turn it manually, there may be some sort of service hole to crank it up, but i didnt bother looking for it last time i had it out so im not sure.
i will replace but i got to wait for the part to come but for now i dont want animals or bugs infesting my car you know. especially with all this pollen. just need to close it temporarily till i got the part. me and my brother cleaned the switch and then tried it and nothing we even tried the switch from the drivers side door. and nothing so its either wires, fuse , or motor. this isnt for my celi but its for my other car just wanted to know what i should do.

Did your's start doing this recently, and did it sometimes not work but when you shut the door or hit the door a bit it worked some?

mine was doing that, and it turned out it was something with a male/female connector that was on the door.

havent tried hitting it. and it just recently did it. it just wont go up. now i talked to a guy off a supra board and he said "When you push the window up button while the car is idling, do the revs change slightly?
If so, the window motor is trying to draw power so it's not a fuse issue.
I had this problem which i fixed last weekend. The sprocket on the electric motor somehow jammed on the teeth of the window winding mechanism that it moves along. I just pulled the window winding mechanism out and freed it up. now it works fine.
Hope it's that easy for you too." which he is right i do hear the revs so does anyone think they could help me figure out what he is talking about i looked at a 6gc regulator and motor and a supra reg and motor they look pretty much the same. just atleast need my window to roll up. i am ghettoing it out with some plastic and a car cover.
