Eye on the the TV
'Cause tragedy thrills me
Whatever flavor it happens to be, like...
"Killed by the husband"
"Drowned by the ocean"
"Shot by his own son"
"She used a poison
in his tea...kissed him goodbye"
It's my kind of story
It's no fun until someone dies

Don't look at me like
I am a monster
Frown out your one face
But with the other
Stare like a junkie
Into the TV
Stare like a zombie

While the mother holds her child
Watches him die
Hands to the sky crying,
"Why, oh why?"

Cause I need to watch things die... from a distance
Vicariously I live while the whole world dies
You all needn't choose your lie

Why can't we just admit it?
Why can't we just admit it?
We won't give pause until the blood is flowing
Neither the brave nor bold
Are right as the story's told
We won't give pause until the blood is flowing

I need to watch things die... from a good safe distance
Vicariously I live while the whole world dies
You all feel the same, so...

Why can't we just admit it?

Blood like rain falling down
Drawn by the brave and proud

Part vampire
Part warrior
Carnivore and warrior
Still have the transmitter
Sink to the death rattle

La, la, la, la, la, la-la-lie (x4)

Credulous at best
Your desire to believe in
Angels in the hearts of men
But pull your head on out
Your head, please, and give a listen
Shouldn't have to say it all again

The universe is hostile, so impersonal
Devour to survive... so it is, so it's always been

We all feed on tragedy
It's like blood to a vampire

Vicariously I live while the whole world dies
Much better you than I

Simply amazing.

It's just like everything else done by Tool, which makes it better than anything anyone else could have ever conjured. Maynard is amazing. Has been, and always will be, my favorite band ever. They will never stop opening the eyes of those willing to look for what it is that they have no idea that they want to find. In these days, it's very hard to come across something that actually involves thought when it comes to the music industry. This release could not have come at any better of a time. I will be purchasing this on its release date. Tool is the only music I pay for. It's the only music worth paying for.

You better buy the CD when it's released. You don't steal Tool's music. Any other music, it isn't stealing, because you can't steal things that have no value. It's just a rule. I didn't make it up.

we had the dummer from tool do a seminar at my last job. the turn out was crazy.

its good to support bands you like, but trust me, those guys have MAD loot. he brought his own custom drum kit, that was valued at around 100grand to the seminar. the whole kit is made out of the same metal they make cymbals out of. .... so yeah, they manage to make a few bucks off their fans.

little did he know, we miked the kit for him before the show, and sampled everthing so that we could cut up the drum sounds later on and use them in our own music....lol

Personally i dont have any sort of bad karma or whatever assoiciated with downloading music. 80% of teh music i download i listen to once. the other 20% usually ends up in my CD collection after my next paycheck!

I think the best song so far is Right in Two.

The lyrics from what I can make of it...

Angels on the sideline,
Puzzled and amused.
Why did Father give these humans free will?
Now they're all confused.

Don't these talking monkeys know that Eden has enough to go around?
Plenty in this holy garden, silly monkeys
Where there's one you're bound to divide it
Right in two

Angels on the sideline,
Baffled and confused.
Father blessed them all with reason,
And this is what they choose?

Monkey killing monkey killing monkey over pieces of the ground.
Silly monkeys give them thumbs they forge a blade
And where there's one they're bound to divide it
Right in two

Monkey killing monkey killing monkey over pieces of the ground.
Silly monkeys give them thumbs they make a club,
And beat their brother down.
How they survive so misguided is a mystery.
Repugnant is a creature who would squander the ability,
To lift an eye to heaven, conscious of his fleeting time here.

Cutting it all right in two

Fight over the clouds, over wind, over sky
Fight over your lie, over blood, over anything
Fight over love, over sun, over nothing
Fight till they die,
(Ahhh!) over what? for their ending

Angels on the sideline again,
Benched along with patience and reason.
Angels on the sideline again,
Wondering where this tug of war will end.

Cutting it all right in two
