alright guys here is my situation

puttin a system into my car. right now, about 1000W, will eventually be 2000W but thats ntothe issue. i was gonna put a cap in it. went to audio place, and talked to this guy, he was telling me not really worth it til u pump up the battery, then alternator. now while, the dude definatly knew his stuff about the car audio. i do not want my lights to dim. will an optima yellow top actually really fix that much without the alternator? or should i just get a cap?

I added 2 1.5 Farad caps in my system and it stopped all the dimming, was planning on adding 2 Red tops in the near future tho.

i have a stniger battery running a 2400 watt amp, no problems at all, the only thing is when i turn it on (the switch) the is like a .5 second dim, but other than that nuttin
