Romas, very nice job. It's gonna be a very clean conversion.

Did you get a chance to look at the vaccum lines when the motor came out?

BUMP for an update

There is nothing to update... Everything went downhill, basicly I needed to replace clutch while Engine was out, but the ClutchNet kit what i got from them was for 3SGTE not 3SGE... After this i ordered another clutch (stock one) and it didnt fit too... So finally i figured out the problem ordering Stock 3SGE clutch..

Another thing whats stops me now is Steering Gear, i need to find a Steering Gear from 3SGE ST202 to fit in propertly, and there is NOT EVEN a single chance to get one here, cuz all of the GT's in Junkyeards are from UK so RHD... Im trying to fit the AT200 steering gear, with some modifications to it, but in the end i ended not using it cuz of the safty.

Maybe anyone could help me and post the pic of the US GT steering gear with the end links? maybe it is the same as ST202?

So now the finish date is delayed till next month start, cuz of the wedings and way too much local worries about the work.

A shame you got so many problems. There aren't any ST202 here in the junkyard either so I can't help you out.

JDM Powerplant installed, BPU coming very soon!
Sorry for cursing - but i feel like i have to run this out somthere biggrin.gif

IM ****ING Stupid, totaly ****ing asshole... Yes i am...

Ok, now all the story:

As most of you know - my SSIII was standing without engine and steering gear all the damn summer... I aint had chance to work on her cuz of the amount of works im having latly, and my WIfe was ready to kill me if if was gonna give my spare time to my SSIII (like she calls her - my lover lol)... This was unting this Thursday... Well - desided enouth is enouth... Steering gear problem was fixed 2 weeks ago, i managed to use AT200 steering gear with some rework on the lower subframe, so the biggest issue was solved. Engine came home really quick, and at the evening of thursday the car was almost in one piece biggrin.gif yea right.... First problem - managed to screw up the outer axle screw some how so now i need one end of the axle... After all this more stuff came over me... Finished damn wiring - witch was a nightmare - connected everything up - and once the ignition was turned on - turn signal on the Cluster lighted up, handbrake light was on even that the handbrake was down, lights wasnt working, passenger doors window wasnt moving, turn signals wasnt working and etc etc... In few words - electrical nightmare... I was like - ok slow down relax and start reasembling everyng.. yea i did reasemble everything (and then i mean everything its EVERYTHING from interior...) checked all the wires, fuses, relays everything.... Assembled everythiing back - and the same ****... did all this 3 times, even managed to test all the wires that i made longer... put everything back - the same GOD DAMN problems...

So from thursday night - all i was doing - removing everything - checking every single wire, every single connection, puting everything back and back again to removing...

...... Friday 11.40pm i was still in my garage (started works at 7am)... Wife mad, im - MAD, celica - worthless.... Till i SOME HOW MANAGED TO FIND THAT my ****ing stupid ass managed to find 2 same plugs and mismatch them... Plug from the driver side doors is exactly the same as one of the main wiring plugs that goes to the fuse box... so guess what... switched the plugs places - and everything works like it was from factory biggrin.gif... GOD DAMN HOW HAPPY i am biggrin.gif

Finally my SSIII is coming to the end... Tomorow i will finish up all the smal stuff like windows switches (need to be switched the direction, and places, cuz now the driver side switch operates pass side window and etc), power mirrors, and put all the metal on the car (fenders, hood and all the other stuff biggrin.gif) and then - for some Make over wink.gif Wount be telling that im up to - but you guys can guess already (i promised - some custom bodywork will be done biggrin.gif)

Well - im happy to be back into celica family wink.gif Stay tune for updates and some sneek peek pics biggrin.gif

Congrats on getting it all sorted out Romas. Make sure you take some time off for the wife - if she starts hating the car, before you know it, you will sell it. (speaking from experience)

QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.
