Topic #36698 15 posts Started by DriftMotion
hi everyone i just joined the forum
so far so good

anyway, keep things short
im 17, n im plannin to get a new car
n i found this
$8k, 66kmile
about the right price?
from other threads i saw ppl sayin 6G over 8k is bad..lol
one thing, is the insurance gonna b crazy for me?

this car should get high twenties in MPG right
from my search on here, i found the late model GT should have 5sfe engine, with 87 octane right
im new 2 the celica world
either gettin this 6th gen, i love the look, or the 7th gen seems to have even better MPG, iono, leaning toward the 6th gen right now

thx for reading
that actually has a turboed engine in it, dunno if its gonna pass smog. overall a nice car.
That is NOT a 5S-FE, It's a 3S-GTE engine, it's not stock, someone swapped that in.

$8,000 is a good price for a 3S-GTE swapped '98 GT

QUOTE (cjh4l22 @ May 15, 2009 - 4:02 AM)hey, nice mod does it come in hetero?Need parts?I'm parting out a '94 ST
ya thats a 2nd gen 3SGTE...its a good price for a swapped 6gc if the swap was done right. go take a look at the car and test drive it like crazy...for atleast a few hours lol if everything is cool then thats definately a good buy. and yah it wont pass emissions...the motor is obd1 and the car is supose to be obd2. i know cuz im in the same boat...lol except im in NJ and its not as strict here as it is in cali

bboy

..(formerly daily driven) 3S-GTE powered celica currently set @ 12psi..
damn it, i hate cali for their emission crap...
n i doubt the own will let me test drive for like few hours lol
All the stats given at auto trader is for a stock GT..

BTW the hood looks awesome.. resembles a 5GC AllTrac?
hes looking for MPG! a supped up ST might be his best bet
very clean car-side note.

The "Fly Low" Project: 3rd Gen 3SGTE
i really like the look of that car. i saw when i was looking for 6gc's on autotrader a few nights ago. Its a good deal, but if you wana save gas it might not be your best choice. however, if your looking for the funnest and best handling front wheel drive turboed car...GET IT! tongue.gif just be sure you have a mechanic check it out to make sure everything works correctly. good luck!
i say DONT buy it, its not your swap, you dont know who worked on it, and you know nothing about the car, not a good place to start.

To live, is to sufferTo survive, thats to find meaning, in the suffering....

you can try EBay, but most of the cars on EBay are on florida kindasad.gif , but you may find one close to you. Just make sure you do the carfax check before you buy a car on Ebay, and If possible go and check the car.
yeah y is that ebay cars usually in flourida...
buyin a car is still kinda big thing, dont really like using ebay for that
Oh man, you just missed a 3sgte turboed celica in your area that sold for 5k.
