you can also use a hand saw to saw off the edges as much as possible. then round off the edges ...it works...and its much safer...just make sure u dont put to much friction on it.

take a hammer and CAREFULLY tap the piece down to turn it into an umbrella shape it will work fine...just be vary vary careful not to hit the shaft
well my sway bar end link is kinda screwy i went to loosen it and it budged loose. And i went to take it all the way off and it just sits there and spun.. I took an allen wrench and a plyers and got it all the way tightend again but i think i need to buy a new one. you think i would be ok driving the car?
did you use an allen wrench while removing the link?
cause that sounds like you just tried to use a wrench only
make sure u put some kinda "washers" between the threaded sleeve n shock body....a 3/4" heater hose works fine wink.gif

jus another note in case wink.gif
Got everything under control lol. decided to wait till monday, so my dad can help me to it. and get an alignment right away. will post up pics as soon as its done wink.gif
Dew Hoe. are you talking about a type of thing to put on the bottom part of the coilovers that goes inbetween that and the holder of the strut? If so what all could i use for a washer?

Does anyone know where i can get more set screws? I'm missing 6 of them.

I would also like to know where i can get the rubber washer type things that set on the strut housing.

Do you have any pics showing where them spacer things go? do they go inside the sleeve? or just set ontop of them? Also are they just like rubber o-rings?
Thanks man i don't know if that helps me tho. I just need to know if they are a type of o'ring or if they are squared on each end so it sets flush on each side?
theres suppose to be o rings which replaces the "washers"...but some applications doesnt need it..this is jus a safety precaution n to reduce teh chances the coilovers bangin against the shock body....hope this helps frown.gif
Ok, that helps me. Thanks Dewhoe. I'll have to go look for some o'rings tomorrow and try and find 6 more set screws so i can start on my back two struts tomorrow.
for the set screws......bring your locking perch to any hardware store n have them find a allen hex screw for u...i personally would go to advance to have them find out the size n then i would go to home depot n get the screw from them.....jsu a tought biggrin.gif
ok just to make sure i have everything that an actual kit would come with.

4 sleeves
4 caps
4 springs
12 set screws
8 rubber o'rings
2 adjuster tools

Is that everything that a new kit would come with?
Please let me know.
yes...some kits have metal washers taht goes on top of the caps...in most cases tehese arent even neccessary...so ur good to go with the described parts....
when i was looking on the aerospeed website there installation guide is way different then our how-to. It shows them o'rings but doesn't say anything about installing them? And i have no idea how big the o'rings have to be and where they go on the installation.
