Hotel booked as of two days ago, right in Center City next to city hall. smile.gif Haha, I guess I am the mayor....


I got two nights at a really nice hotel for me and the lady, we're making that weekend a little getaway for our 3 year anniversary. wink.gif Should be a really nice weekend. However do realize I'll probably have to split later in the afternoon since we have plenty of other plans, plus I need to hit up my older brother's new apartment that weekend too at some point.


I can't wait, only 11 more days!

Yeah long story. I used to live in Ohio, but then i moved to LA last year and left my 6GC in Ohio. Im going back to Ohio next week. and then leaving from Ohio to go to the meet. ok so maybe it wasn't a long story afterall.

My wife and I won't be making this meet. She's thowing me a fairly large birthday party on the 22nd (Friday the 21st is the actual day, 28 for cimineys sake!), otherwise we were planning on coming.

haha ill be in Ohio for like 3 weeks so im hoping to go to more than 1 meet if possible, Ill be gone by August 9th and it doesn't look like there are any planned other than this one, so ill see what happens. But this time when i go back to LA, im taking the celica with me woot.gif and already planning on going to a the SoCal cruise in late August and a NorCal meet that has no date or location yet haha.

None at all man, not at all. All that stuff today actually turned into an outstanding technical thread and there's zero angst over that thread on my end. I was actually looking forward to meeting you the most, but looks like it'll have to be another meet.

Where did you book the room at, cuase i'll have to get a whole nother room, cuase im planning on going with atleast 3 other people and if anyone else wants to join in with us then that should be fine too.

So far only one problem has come up, but it's not going to stop me from going haha. When i planned out which days im going to work on my car, i forgot to factor in that it does rain in Ohio kindasad.gif, and then i found out it's going to rain on 1 of the 3 days i have, so this really messes with my timing. But this just means i have to work faster.

split 3 or 4 ways its less then a tank of gass lol and u can go 300ish miles on a tank, so its definatly better then driving home.

Haha, well... Just finish installing that body kit ive been working on forever haha. this means, fit it, sand it, prime it, paint it, sand it, buff it. It's just the front bumper, and sides that needs to be done. However, the body kit doesnt fit right (like always), I havent even touched my car in a year so i'll need to check everything mechanically as well before i leave for such a long drive. But good news is that i have 2 other people helping me with this, (that say they know what they are doing) and i already have all the paint and supplies purchased and waiting for me at home. The main problem was just that i dont get back to Ohio until the 19th at 7am. And i hear it's supposed to rain that day. So this means, i have one day to finish installing the kit, one day to paint it, and just a few hours to cross my fingers and hope the paint dries fast enough for me to leave Saturday morning at 5am. Haha, im determined to make this meet. I know the paint job isn't going to be the best, but i hope no one notices smile.gif

idk man,,....dont rush it seriously with paint and body work u cant rush things. id just wait till after the meet. u can devote more time, and there will be less headaches in the end.

Ill see what happens. Maybe i wont have time to make the paint look perfect, but i wanted to paint it a different color later this year anyways haha. thanks for the advice though smile.gif

i raced to get my springs in, and get my rims and tire stuff taken care of b4 csp06, and it ended up i couldnt go, but i wouldnt have been able to go neway, cuz the car was way messed up (alignment, tire balancing, camber adjusments and crap) it was just bad news.

seriously woulda tore up my $600 worth of tires.

well even if i dont get my car done by then, i should still see you at the meet. Thats what my backup volvo is for smile.gif . Ill be coming with a volvo, my friend's 6GC, and a sileighty... ugh, i will feel so left out without my celica haha.

what time are you meeting everyone at the hotel? cuase it's going to be a 7 hour drive for me so.. im going to try to leave by 5am, but i might leave a little later, but no later than 6am. but i could leave even earlier than 5am if you guys are meeting earlier.

well.. the start time for the meet is 1pm. so i figure we meet at the hotel by 12pm at the latest.... but it all depends on what time you guys get there. also, call the hotel and ask what time you can check in. that way we will have a better idea of what time to get there around.

we should also get a "100% im in" list from the people who are going to the hotel. this way, if someone is running late getting to the hotel, we will know to wait for them and not head out to the park. again, im only talking about the people who plan to meet us at the hotel, not at the park.

Hmm ok i will leave earlier then to factor in traffic and getting lost and whatever else might come up. Looks like ill be working on my car in the rain on wednesday kindasad.gif . I'm like 95% sure im going so i can't add my name to the "100% im in" list yet. I still have to factor in if my car still works when i go back to it haha.

the plan is.. .that i want to meet you guys in one location and take you over to the meet. the park is kind of tricky to find so i think its best to meet everyone at the hotel and show you guys the way. plus we get to cruise down togher!
