Can these fit cause someone told me to buy these for my car..would it look funked?? LEt me know
would they look good on 17'' rims? cause i know peeps say to get 215/45/17...I like big tires. lol
Don't forget that the extra weight will slow you down. Trust, it may not seem like much (just a little more rubbe), but you'll feel the extra weight
IT's not so much the weight, it's that the radius gets bigger, and your entire moment of inertia for the wheel gets bigger.
Thanks for the replies fellahs. Would it look good though? I have a thing for big tires hahaha.
who carries that size tires.

Just wondering.

Thanx

215/45/17 should fit very well (my celica is lowered using TRD Celica lowering springs) - even better than the 215/40/17 which I have (looks to small for the wheel well)..

Moreover, the 215/45/17's are probably better insurance for dented rims >smile.gif>

your right about the radius size slowing you down, but usually, when you buy new wheels the new tires to fit will have a lower profile, and despite the fact thet you have increased your radius by an inch, the lower profile usually compensates. I have 17" motegi mr7's(white) with 215/45/17 toyos, and when you put them next to my old wheels, they are the same size. So I felt absolutly no difference.

but a larger tire would make your radius longer.

it will also screw up your speedometer

good luck finding the right tires for yourself

the first number in the tire size is the width so getting a higher number obviously requires you to get a wider rim... I still do not understand slapping on wider tires then the wheels actually permit.

I think 205 is a 6" wide wheel and 215 should be for a 7" wide wheel. your tire size depends wholely on your wheel size....

n/m I am an idiot for posting before reading the whole thread, yall are talking about the height, please disregard me as a babaling fool, thanks >smile.gif>
