He had the handbrake pulled.

nope, the rear tires were spinning, they didn't leave the marks.

Thanks guys !!

To confirm the rear tires were spinning. The two strips were left by the front tires. wink.gif

I just reved it up to about 5 grand and released the clutch. Then you hear me feather the throttle a little as I start to pull away.

This was an awesome time. I'm very happy with the car when I watch this video.

EDIT: look at the picture above, you can see the marks already on the ground after the front tire. thumbsup.gif

Thanks again guys,
Jeff

I will return one day.

for the record, since i was the one shooting the vid, jeff DID NOT have his handbrake pulled.
he spun both wheels.

it seems its totally normal.

Cars arent 1wd. Both wheels are driven after a certain RPM, its normal.

sorry to sound stupid, just seemed as if everyone said FWD cars without LSD do peg leg burnouts

my apologies for being a noob tongue.gif

205 40 R17 and around 12-13 psi

I will return one day.
Was the ground wet? Might just be the vid quality, but that's what it looks like.
but like erik said, cars are not 1 wheel drive. if you have an equal amount of slip, l then the 2 tires will spin at the same time. sometimes one wheel might end up with a little more power then the other one for a second, and youll get some torque steer, but thats about it.

on the other hand, if you put one wheel in mud, and the other one on dry road, then you might see the issue of the power going to the wheel with the least resistance.

i've seen rwd cars do one wheel burn outs, and they leave only one tire mark line.

when my st does a burn out i only "feel" the front passanger side wheel spin and make noise.
