After being rear ended for the third time within a 2 month time frame, My parents are forcing me to sell the celica because they belive it is jinxed and has bad luck for me. Everytime it got into an accident the amount of damage keeps rising. So far, the Insurance company on this third accident is willing to pay up to 3K in damages to my car. Once I receive the insurance $$ I will put my car for sale as is......(sigh) I will miss the celica for its shape and design.

So any ideas on what I can get next? I was thinking of an WRX STI, or something that acn save gas like the new Toyota Yaris, or get a civic.....
such a shame. the amount of celicas on here with 4age swaps just got rarer. i'd want your 4age. good luck with the sale. and a sti is a good choice for a new car.

ss-iii splitters and 404 skirts areon. which means i need to update my sig.
no way! You must stick around and lend a hand to the community though. Dont be a lurker! I think you should go with an RSX. MMMMMMMMMMMM. Yum.

Teh Celica sleeps for Winter '06. Suspension overhaul begins........

WRX STi or somthing that can save gas - These words do not belong together. I'm going to assume you're young since you stated that your Parents are "forcing" you to sell your car, a WRX STi would not be a wise choice, at all. I don't know if you pay for your car or car insurance but - I'm almost positive you're not going to pay cash for an STi and I'm pretty sure that you could not afford the monthly payment, car insurance or gas for an STi.

If I were to be in your shoes, with limited cash but seeking a new/newer vehicle. I would look into buying a Toyota Yaris, Mazda3, or somthing along those lines.

I wouldn't listen to any of those that have replied thus far. A Supra, VR4, STi are all bad decisions & investments for a young driver.

Just my 2 cents.

^Hear hear^

The Celica's insurance is bad enough, and its mostly due to the expense of repair. An STI would be horrendous, a Supra worse. Not sure about the VR4, but it's turboed, so's I'm going to with bad too.

there is no such thing as "jinxed", get'er fixed man. it's your celica, assuming also your pride and joy concidering you put alot of work into it. Don't give it up

if your choice is already made up, good luck with your new car
and if i may add, 06 mitz eclipse would be damn nice. it has similar curves

I've seen the yaris. Its not bad looking and is surprisingly roomy.(4dr). But look at the Mazda3 and mazda 6. I drove both and I was surpirsed at the car all around aspects.

Get what you want, but realistically if you are paying for insurance and payments the really "nice" cars are probably out of your range... they are out of most peoples range unless someone likes to pay a bunch o cash on loan and insurance
The yaris is a cool little car! I got to drive one the other day and they are pretty quick for and eco car. But for the same price as a new yaris you could find a used IS300 in good shape with not too many miles. And for insurance purposes, they are not much more than our cars. Whatever you do, get a toyota/lexus and keep it in the community! thumbsup.gif Sti=major dept/ bad mpg thumbsdown.gif
I dont know why you would relly be selling the celica. Just cuz your parents say to sell it don't mean you have to listen. your ride is sweet as it is and can only get much better. on a new car I would have to say a corolla S or even a scion tc. whatever you do don't get the sti becuz the trans on them are not all that great.
naaa u just can´t sell the celi.... Its a good car and u know it.
but if u just have to trade... why not a mits Eclipse or honda Integra.
I vote for a Integra

god luck.. / mozo - Sweden
I wouldnt touch an Eclipse but an Integra isnt a bad choice, neither is a Scion tC or maybe a 7GC.

go with another celica if you have to sell. get an alltrac! or a mr2.
Why not just part it out, i wouldn't mind the 4age set up!!!!

Haa haa, Im young but im also close to 21. I just wanted to get a car that would last a little bit longer where I don't have to change out axels, bearings, and ......even engines. So far, Toyota is the way to go and yes, my parents said they pitch in and help me out with a car so that just made it sweeter....as long as the celi is sold first (sigh).
