Good lord, why doesn it have to be Nicholas Cage? Johnny Blaze is supposed to be cool, not some stoic old guy with a monotone voice.
Wow... season of Comic Book Movies?
Its been that way since marvel decided to go gung-ho with their characters. Its just a shame that 3/4 of the marvel movies suck.
Spiderman 1, 2 & 3 (2007 with Sandman & Venom &Green Goblin)

Punisher (sequel to come)
Fantastic Four (probably a sequel)

2 Reasons modern comic book movies suck:
1. Relying too heavily on CGI special effects
2. Trying too hard to be cool
Comic books are afraid of their own roots: unrealistic, colorful stories that are very entertaining. I actually think the Incredibles is the best comic movie of the last few years other than the Spider-Man series.

Its a catch 22. The CGI is needed for alot of the stuff pictured in comic books, and then people complain that the technology isnt up to par.
Does ne body remember the old 70s Spider-man tv series? His hands moved faster than he did going up the building because of ropes & pulleys.
