Ok....Is there any difference in the axels for a 97 GT convertible L.E. and a GT non-vert? I have gone through 2 on the right side and it is going again along with my left side too. Seeing that most parts off of a non-vert will not work on my convertible I have called many different manufacturers and a couple of them said that 97,98,and 99 verts took a different axel while others have told me there is no difference. If there is no difference why does the dealer need a vin to look up an axel? It is a manual non abs. Next....Where have yall gotten your axels from?? I don't want to spend 800$ at the dealership and the ones I have purchased came from where I work and they wont warranty me anymore. Any info will be a really BIG help!!!!!!

I dont see any reason why a vert axle would be any different than a regular axle.
Dealers always want VIN#s, just so they know exactly what kinda car you have.
I have a GT passenger side axle for sale cheap, if you want it.
