now that summer is in full swing, it seems i cant go anywhere without people asking me something about the car! on average i get stoped about 1-3 times a day, mostly young guys but also a few older people will ask me what kind of car it is or something like that.

does this happen to everyone else?

hahaha...it's because they have never seen that type of a bodykit on the celicas, looks like a euro car, not american....they don't know what a Toyo GT4 is in the USA...makes it look simple yet stylish and ravishing...lol...with our OEM US bumper and hood...looks plain...no one pays attention to us...

i dunno about all that chacha, i get asked about my car all the time. ( the white convertible). No one can seem to figure out what kinda car it is. Most the time they think its a lexus, but thats about it.

i get the usual supra mistakes every now and then (i love my de-badged celica). but the real compliment is from the many ppl that think my car is actually fast. haha yeah...

Lagos you prolly now how it is with aswapped celica... its really funny at car shows or parking lot meet ups where people will be like "oh just a celica".. some people actually look see the the turbo and ask a million questions about the car. But yes its funny not alot of people expect a boosted celica.. so its funny. But yes I get questions everyday.. But still cant sell my car.

I get asked generally once a day. I get a lot of people asking if its the awd celica. Kinda cool that people even know that theres an all wheel drive celica out there. I like the older guys talking to me about my car more than the younger guys

i wouldn't be surprised that they are asking...that's why we love our celi so much...it looks unique, simple and complexity blended together in the body and with sys, along with other variety rare engines in a chasis...that's what caught my eyes...love the 6th gen.

Since I swapped last week I get ALOT of attention. Mainly youngsters who think, because they hear the turbo spooling, that it is a Supra. But the GT4 is more reckownized here so when front end is finally put un they will understand. Furthermore I want a badge saying turbo in the back. At first is was fun to "kill" them ricer boys from the traffic light, but now it gets frustrating. I moved up a class. Its Subaru, BMW, Audi and even Porsche that I take on now from the traffic light

I might be crazy, but i have been asked about 20 times if my car was a SUPRA!! when people ask me all i say is "Thats about right" haha. Its crazy that this car is a baby supra!!

I get asked about my car all the time also. My dad took my car to his work to get it aligned and my tired re-balanced, and he had 5 people ask what year it was, and said that it was a sweat looking car.

I typically have people that are just not positive that it is a Celica, or can't believe that it is a 1995 model year...I mean the styling is timeless. May get more Supra inquiries now that I have the GT-Four Blocks on.

Most common thing I hear about my car is when I tell them it's a 1994 model. People always go, "are you serious?? that looks way newer."

I get scattered comments here and there about my car though, alot of the time its if I get out of my car somewhere busy or I stop at a gas station or something, somebody will ask me about it and say something about how low it is and how it looks really quick.

Generally people leave it alone because its not nearly aggressive or modified enough to really draw alot of attention. Sometimes I think thats a good thing around where I live though.

you guys are lucky. i get no attention at all. most of my friends don't even like the car...
they just say, "yeah its a nice car" just to make me feel better while they're driving there 300zx, rx7, civic sir, prelude, jdm front end integra, and all those nice cars..

i get compliments on my car alot and its pretty much stock. so many stories, but just the other day, i took a girl out in it for the first time. she said it was nice, i asked her if she knew what it was, and she said a supra. true story, i couldnt help but laugh . everytime someone sees me walking to my car, they are always like "you drive that?, how do you afford it?". i cant think of any other car in its class that would get the reaction the 6g gets. thats why i love it.

The funniest one I can think of is when I used to hang with the MKIII Supra club here in Houston we would have our meets at the local Hooter's. One night the girls asked if we were a car club then asked if we would point out our cars. Mine being the only Celica in a line of Supras of course stood out like a sore thumb. Then the girls asked if they could each have a quick ride in the cars during their breaks. The girl that picked my car was really nice and very cute and I of course quickly agreed to give her a ride.
She gets in and is careful not to hurt the car and about block down the road says "So this is a Porsche right?"
Instantly I look down at the Toyota symbol on my steering wheel and the devil on my shoulder says "Yes - just go with it - girls like expensive cars {insert evil laugh}"
Luckily the angel on the other shoulder won out and I told her it was a Toyota Celica.

LOL - I should have listened to the devil.

the only time ive been ask is. is that turbo in ur car and the cops asking me when are u going to change ur plates and gave me a 10 day warning today.. damnit i dont have the money.
