valve cover... - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #38140 9 posts Started by frosty
Just out of curiosity, would the valvecover from the 4a-ge (silvertop) fit on the 3s-ge? You would think they would since they're both ge heads, but still, there is always chance for a slight difference. Just didn't know if anyone has already attempted this?

Purely I ask this because the 4a's valve cover has a better cosmetic appearance ( in my opinion) over the 3s's cover. Not that any of it really matters, it's just one of those random thoughts that popped in my head the other day. rolleyes.gif

why dont just powder coat it, pay a shop to do it, imo powder coated valve cover ftw! >p0wnz all
Or just make an engine cover out of polished stainless steel.
wow, none of that answered my question. I didn't say "hey, I want the silvertop valve cover instead of the 3s-ge's cover." Don't think that I'm ticked off here, just those answers assume that I'm trying to do something different when I clearly stated "Not that any of it really matters, it's just one of those random thoughts that popped in my head the other day." I just like to know what is interchangeable amongst the celica engines/ ge engines.

So, any answers pertaining to whether the covers are interchangeable?

(remember, I'm not ticked off by the previous replies, even though it may sound like it. Just had a long day at work and came home to a broken hvac so the house is boiling. Oh well, life still goes on rolleyes.gif )

The "GE" valve covers might only be interchangeable with the same block base that they come with. I.E. the 4AGE to the 4AGZE.
no... 4ag valve cover wont come close to fitting on a 3sgte... theyre completely different engines. 1.6 vs 2.0. the ge just tells you it's a performance designed head as opposed to an fe which has an economy head design.
This is a funny question. Hahaha... Completely different engine... Completely different valve covers. In other words... NO. The 16V 4AGE and the 20V 4AGE don't interchange either...

now if you're talking about BT and ST valve cover swap, it would be possible, but not with a 4age and 3s
