I know that someone posted a how-to on this, but I've heard a different way to wire it up. The how-to that's listed says that the ECU is behind the glovebox. I talked to SpedToe169, who also has the S-AFC, and he said the ECU is behind the center console. Can anyone confirm where the ECU is?

Now about the air/fuel gauge installation...

I read a previous post about where to hook up the A/F gauge but it was never really made clear which wire to splice into. Can someone help me out with this one?

the ECU is behind the center dash, down under the CD player and all that, basically on the floor. if you get in the pass. side floorboard, and pull the carpet up in the center, you will see it. as far as the air/fuel ratio gauge, it plugs into an o2 sensor, but i'm not sure if it's the upstream or downstream sensor...when you get it, it'll have directions, or check out the how-to, but iono if that tells you which to wire it to or not. also, if you can find a pin-out, you could hook it up right near the ECU w/ the AFC >>. either way, i'll come help yah >>

just splice the o2 wire off of the gauge into the o2 sensor on your exhaust manifold.

Yeah, but don't do it before the ECU connected. Splice into iot after the little plastuc lug piece which is about 6 inches up the wire. You wanna do it on the Main O2 sensor which is the top one...the first one the exhaust will hit...there's another one about a foot further down but don't use that one...not accurate readings.

I'd like to keep all of my wires out from under the hood if possible. Doesn't the O2 wire from the air/fuel gauge wire into the same wire the AFC does?

Also, the gauge I bought requires a 5 amp/12V power source. There are no 5 amp fuses in our cars so what do I run the hotwire to? I'm pretty sure that it HAS to be wired into something that's run by a 5 amp fuse, because my friend and I are currently trying to install the same type of gauge in his car and wiring into the cig. lighter doesn't work (run by a 15 amp fuse). The fuse pops every time we try that. We're going to wire into the gauges tomorrow since his are run by a 5 amp fuse and see what happens.
