> the way i look at it, i seriously don't think you can use the original bar because it would really need to be cut ALOT. but anyway, i wonder if anybody else with the conversion has done that?

btw, i bought some 4" fogs at Princess Auto which fit the foglamp bezel perfectly... just letting you know.

I'd like to see a picture of that, I have 4" Driving lights that fit perfectly, but they are driving lights, they are too bright to be used as fog lights...

BTW, anyone noticed the GT-FOUR front signal lights come with a single filament bulb? Do I have to do a bit of custom wiring or use the old signal light socket with the dual filament bulb?

-Rémy02SiR, 08250R
you use your stock turn signal socket because you'll notice the gt-four turn signal socket won't fit the turn signal connector. it requires a different connector.

there are four notches on the gt4 turn signal housing. one of which will be needed to be cut another 1mm wider for the stock socket to fit.

art (lagos) had his body shop modify his stock crash bar.
vin (shin) had his guy modify the gt-4 bar.
i used the GT-4 bar, and frame brackets.

Finally its here.
I just paied the custom fees for the package release, a very small amount of money though...lol. toyotaworld rules laugh.gif ..I will get the hood and bumper tomorrow, will post pics for sure, I'm so excited laugh.gif wink.gif tongue.gif

Wooo!! Finally everything is it my HAND! biggrin.gif

Got the package today, and I was kinda scared that the hood might have been bent somewhere in his travel all over the world, be fear not, it was flawless, Toyotaworld took care of using empty boxes to make the pallet sturdier and safer.

And with the pics!!!

the bumper in its box...

The bumper on (I had to).

I sat in the car and damn, you can see the freaking hood! Its like an old muscle car haha, nowadays you can't see the hood on most of the cars, its a strange but really cool view, with all those vents and bumps!

And a lil pic of the body work before it gets painted..

Now much else to show, maybe I'll post pics of the body filler over the body before it goes into the paintshop..

Hope you enjoy wink.gif

In 4 days I'll have it back, as it should be..

PS : Sanding a car a is HELLA JOB!! When you want it properly done...

-Rémy02SiR, 08250R
what about the front bumper?
oh and yeah, sanding is a long process.. i'm guessing you did that by hand?
is it gonna be white? looks like it's gonna turn out pretty good.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
KICK ASS dude..the first GT-FOUR conversion in NB!..what color are you going for?
its going to be white.

and teh front bumper is not on because it needs to be primered seperately..less job for the bodyman

-Rémy02SiR, 08250R
hows ur celi doin? is it back from paint yet?
There was a, hmm, slight accident...

Everything should be alright by the end of the week, I'll post pics when its done...it'll be less embarassing.

-Rémy02SiR, 08250R
If anyone has been following this..
the car is now in the bodyshop for the 3rd week, it should be ready thursday or friday...(The guy is slow but really good)

I'm beginning to be impatient laugh.gif

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My brand new Gt-4 hood flied out in my windshield, that's what happened, I'll post pictures later.

NO COMMENTS! I'm so embarrased. I'm laughing at it now cause I almost cried then!

oh yeah.. you might want to watch out for that... it's a little tricky without the actual gt4 hood latch..

the latch has nothing to do with it, the actual stock latch is perfect, its just the "safety lock" that you lift up to unhook the hood that is too short..and its not related at all, its my own stupidity/accident/lack of carefulness. I'm so mad at myself because its so just not me! I'm like extreme perfectionnist, I'm already thinking about ordering another new hood.

And please I don't need stupid comment and sarcasm thrown at me.

Here's the hood in the middle of repair (last week).

It actual sounds worst than it is..the damage is minimal, and the winshield didn't crack...it could have been so much worst.

The stuff that looks like duct tape is actually some special body filler for aluminuim, as normal bondo wouldnt stick on it... kindasad.gif

man im excited. i wanna see the finished product! biggrin.gif
the gap isn't really that bad between the stock bumper & the gt-four hood. i'd actually consider just buying the hood then getting the bumper when i get the extra money.

looks good, make sure in the future that hood is secured to the latch tongue.gif
ok I got the car..it looks georgeous!! He made a miracle on the hood!

The only bad side is that the paitn is already chipping on the bumper..I'll have to take it to a pro..for the price I paid(including the hood/hinges/latch work) I can't complain at all.
