Any of you have this happened? I just replaced my belts
and geeting a lot of belt dust around the alternator pulley and
thrown around - similar to the pics in "oil on belts" topic -
but NO oil - just dry belt powder everywhere around. After tightening
the belt the amount thrown is much less but still noticeable.
Any ideas? Is it normal? will it stop?

i hope you didnt overtighten it and make sure its on all the way.

check the edges of the belt for wear.
