my ride is leakin transmission gear oil. my mechanic ordered the part for it, and we are just waiting to get the part in, then hes gonna fix it... but is it gonna seriously hurt my car if i keep driving it in the meantime? I try to go to jiffy-lube and have them top it off whenever i can... but i have some business to tend to tonight, and i need my car...

how bad is the leak? how much fluid is in the tranny right now?

i know a guy that busted his tranny and drove home, it leaked the whole way and finally ran out of fluid and the torque converter stoped working.

if it is a bad leak, dont drive it
