Ok guys, im stuck, totaly stuck with my LHD conversion, im stuck with the damn steering gear, cuz the only one i can use is from GT (Euro Spec GT with 3SGE engine.....). This is cuz of the main underframe, and mounting points for the steering gear... I tryed all the way to use the AT200 Steering gear, but it is too short in lenght cuz of the longer steering arms what AT200 uses, and cuz they are straight. GT steering gear uses bent steering arms, and it is longer in lenght, and bents on the steering arms are to avoid hitting subframe....

I installed AT200 steering gear, but once i turn the Steering all the way to one side or another - there is only about 2mm gap between the subframe and steering arm... and i can not use GT steering arms cuz they are too short..... Only way is to make some sort of extensions for the GT steering Arms, but this way i will be risking to bend / brake the extension, cuz it will be weak point....

All i need to know - is there a difference between US GT and Euros GT steering gears, and is there a difference in US GT and AT suspension.... IF some one could post a pics of how the US GT steering gear looks, and if some one could messure the Lenght of the steering gear without the Steering arms - i would hudgly apreciate it...

Dustin - are the first one pictured is from USDM GT? Cuz for sure - the ST202 rack si totaly different from ST one it is Longer, and has Shorter steering arms, and they are curved.

If atleast the Lenght of the USDM GT steering rack was the same as ST202 i could use steering arms from my ST202 rack...

Tomorow i will post the messurements between mounting points of the rack, and overall lenght.

Dustin, do you have the posibility to atleast aprox messure the same things?

the first 2 were USDM, the last was LHD st202, they both looked the exact same. I would imagine things are different with the SS suspension.

Manny was nice enough to let me borrow one of his bibles (Big Green Books) and I scans some pages for you, maybe this can help you. I no longer have the parts car, it was scrapped a few months ago.
