Topher Grace is in the movie, he's playing Venom. What I'm thinking is that the Green/Hobgoblin (idk which one theyre going with, green would be accurate but they've changed it so much already who knows) and Sandman are the big enemies for a majority of the film and then Venom will be setup for the 4th film.

^ Yeah I think Raimi is taking alot from Ultimate Spider-man instead of the originals.
I mean they are so far off from the comics in this one its ridiculous but it still looks good. Gwen Stacey is in it, whens he was Peter's first girlfriend killed by Green Goblin off a bridge like he did with MJ in the first movie, so even though I'm a lil disappointed in the tossing of the originals, it still looks like a pretty kick ass movie.

Yeah I like the big muscular Venom too, but IMO putting Carnage in is way to much of the same type of character.

I couldn't agree with you more. There was like 900 issues of great stories before the Ultimate Spiderman even came out. It seems like they're trying to cram 40 years of Spider-man into a few movies. I do find the movies entertaining though. They're light and fun the way comic books are supposed to be. Much better than the X-Men series IMHO.

I couldn't agree with you more. There was like 900 issues of great stories before the Ultimate Spiderman even came out. It seems like they're trying to cram 40 years of Spider-man into a few movies. I do find the movies entertaining though. They're light and fun the way comic books are supposed to be. Much better than the X-Men series IMHO.

I think if Raimi turns Venom all super muscular it'd be a bad transition with Topher Grace. In Ultimate Spidey Venom is more like Spidey's exact match, thats why he's the same size.
I honestly dont think we'll see Venom in this movie, only the making of him in the very end, and then the 4th and maybe final movie is like a Venom Vs. Spidey brawl of the century.
Edit: Either way I think they'll very much tone down Venom as not to really scare the kids that are going to be watching the movie. Venom is pretty hardcore and with a movie you have to appeal to a broader audience.
