Slick, what kind of wood are you using? I thought about doing this so i'd have a more molded look for my subs, but im afraid of adding too much weight to the car.
is it possible to make sub enclosures out of fiberglass or will it not be strong enough?

love the look, pics pics and more pics when its done smile.gif
Oh snap! Book shelves!!... j/k
thats alot of wood in there.... I see that you wont have a spare tire anymore?
yea tons of sub boxes are made of fiberglass. But like I said, how much does it weight?
I definitely want to see daily pictures...I love project threads! biggrin.gif

New Toyota project coming soon...

Looking great, adding those side compartments was a really good idea. What are your plans for the wood? Are you gonna carpet it or fiberglass it or what? Just curious~

nice project! the layout looks great... even though im not a big fan of audiobahn from past experiences frown.gif cant wait to see the final pics
Yea i agree with tim86, i think your trunk is going to look great, its a shame your putting in audiobahn subs. Such a nice trunk design only deserves such a nice sub. Looks great though.

What I would recomend Dan is adding a layer of carpet to the area under the plexiglass to make it more of a contrast between that and the audiobahn logo.... But otherwise I think this was very tastefuly done smile.gif
Looks like you've done a great install. But one comment, and don't take this badly...but if i were you, i'd do something with the bare wood, like maybe stain it or paint it...I dunno, just don't think it flows with everything else.

Ahh thanks, I actually painted it yesterday.. i'll take some updated pics

The biggest thing now is that I have some leak in the tank area and I can't find it.. I've pulled out it, checked the fittings with soap and listened.. can't find any sign of a leak.. yet it will drop about 1 psi every 5 mins.. frown.gif
