As some of you may know this guy was selling rims on this site. I contacted him about a set of gram lights. We deicided that i would send him half on paypal($410) , and the other half would be COD through UPS ($400) I sent him the money then he tells me his supplier bailed with my money. He never mentioned a third guy in our transaction. Now he wont give me my money. Heres the original post he had up

the number is registered to Karen and Derrick Dingwall- I spoke to Karen and she told me that Jeremy is in fact part of the family but that he comes and goes as he pleases

I can clean dental records, birth records, and his entire family. no im joking, but i agree, these people who run big scams like this really do suck, good thing you did it through paypal so you can get some of that money back. For all my big purchases i do it through some kinda store. I leave the forums for small purchases.

he had a selling thread for some injectors and other stuff and i PPed him the money for the fuel pump he was "selling" and i've not seen the item, nor has he replied my emails

3rd party huh? He found cheap prices somehow... then put up a thread and decided to charge you more, making money off YOUR money. Some business plan he has... we should make a meet over at that address and just wait for him to come home.

If you paid with a credit card through paypal, you can demand from paypal 100% of the money. If they don't give it all back to you, then get in touch with your credit card company. They usually will refund you 100%. I had a guy who ripped me off on here a couple of years ago. I worked through the CC company, and got all my money back.

Im pretty sure there are some people here that are willing to help you out. That amount of money is not petty and thus his actions is considered a criminal act. You have proof as well so you have a good arsenal to support your case.

Why was this brought up again after a year?

if this happened in cali, Celicaridinghot would've gotten a visit from a few members and justice would've been served. Heck, it even happened in canada, if i recall, it was a town around toronto.

if local 6gc members are not willing to help you out, take it to the authorities, if they don't do ****, take it to a higher level.

If everybody just kissed a**, and was nice and fake all the time then i dont see how thats being productive as well. I just basically see everybody saying the same thing but their probably to scared to say whats really on their mind because their too concerned about their "image." Sorry but i am over all that high school reputation bull.

Some negative comments are needed sometimes to be productive as long as you arent out of line and i was MILES from being out of line. I never attacked him nor did i use profanity or attack any other member. As far as im concerned i didnt break any rules. But then again i could be like everybody else and just be like..."Awwww i hope you get your money back." How is that being productive?

I think something should be done about this. Only a certain amount of people should be allowed to sell. People that only score high on reliability in these forums; or there should be some RESPECTABLE volunteers that could offer to be middlemen in the deal. Somebody like Batman, Def or some other moderator for example. Both the money and item goes through them and he/she ships out the money and item when he receives both. Too many people are getting screwed over. Either that or i think everything should go through ebay and not this site.

Yeah, well something needs to be done about scammers. Shogun Being nice and making a member feel better isn't being fake. Some people are just genuinely nice and sympathetic. A mod will not step in and assist. I'm pretty sure they are busy. The best way is to just avoid shady people, get every bit of information about them and try to deal with someone close by to your area of residence. That way in case something happens, you can serve some justice.
