Hi Guys,
After months of debating between TRD vs Eibach, I need help in deciding between TRD and eibach sportlines.
My main worry is COMFORT. My celica GT(sports suspension) is a daily driver plus my wife and 2y/o kid rides in it also. I like the lowered look but I don't want to sacrifice comfort. Now my question is which is more comfortable on stock struts and wheels.

they're the same thing! honestly, no joke! eibach makes trd's. i've got the 'eibachs', they're nice and smooth, not too bouncy or rigid at all!

tanabe nf210 springs are normal feeling they lower the car slightly and maintain a spring ratio that is only 5% higher than stock providing greater comfort at a lower height... they are normally close to $150 in price too

why don't you get some aftermarket struts and shocks too. i hear they improve the comfort of lowering springs.

TRD's are like stock, but you will feel some stiffness with low profile tires. If you drop it lower than 1.5 make sure to buy shocks and struts.

if confort it's priority I'd say don't lower it. it's a performance mod.

Its common internet knowlewledge that trd's are made by eibach (I have no idea if this is true or not). However, they ARE NOT the same (despite what you read). TRD's are linear and Eibach's are progressive. Most people prefer linear springs when you ride in them because they are more predictable but it is a preference sort of thing.

maybe the trds are the same thing as the prokit from eibach but not the same as the sportlines?

Thanks everyone for your inputs and Thanks for the suggestion LewFx. I think bigger tires will close the gap but will raise the car up and mess with odometer readings etc etc. I like the lowered look of the celica when dropped but I'm trying to keep the comfort at about or close to the factory level as much as possible.
After reading the suggestions so far, I'm kinda leaning towards the TRD right now.

Thanks m0dd3d1. Have you any experience with other lowering springs? and if you were to do it again would you buy eibachs again? I have seen posts with uneven drops with eibachs, guess thats not a problem with yours? Well, I'm in baltimore - randallstown area I will keep my eyes out for any meet etc in the baltimore/MD area.

I have to make a disclaimer to my statement. I had read SEVERAL posts on mr2oc.com indicating that the TRD springs are linear (which is why I bought TRD's more than a year ago). After I posted in this thread, I did a little more research on the subject and there is some knowledgable people that say otherwise. The weight of authority still suggests they are linear but I thought I would let everyone know that it may not be the case.
