well... he runs a business... so he has to make money. you could have saved a lot by doing most of the work yourself.

If u trust him u shouldn't be questioning him. OEM parts are $$$$!

yeesh, oem pads for $90?!? i can get hawk hps pads for that much.

aren't OEM parts usually more expensive than aftermarket, unless of course they're high performance parts?

Heres what you do man...


Buy all the parts you need from that list, call up a handful of 6GC guys and kick all the work out in much less than a day. Just make sure you buy them plenty of food, beer, etc.



Especially for routine maintainence procedures, you owe it to yourself to be able to perform such tasks. It'll not only save you alot of money but it will make you better informed on how your car works and self-reliant. For me, i'm far too poor to be spending money on labor like that. Only time I'll ever take it to a shop is if I don't have access to the right tool for the job, although I've never had that happen yet.

Heh, well then its a no-brainer i guess. Hell, if people paid for my repairs or upgrades I'd have a shop do alot of it too...


Good luck, it'll run real nice when you get it back. You should see about doing belts while you're at it, since its being paid for by your parents. While your at it, tell them your motor has a "cracked manifold" and do some turbo work....err.....um.....routine maintainence....to the car.
