Kinda tired of my s-techs - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #39448 17 posts Started by Davesceli
Well i've got a set of tein springs on my car, and i don't know, but im starting to get kinda tired of the ride and ride height. Anybody know of any other springs that are a little higher. I don't want to go back to the four finger gap in my wheel well, but i need something that is nice compromise...

**to all those who are thinking of buying these...im not putting em down. They're great performance wise and make the car look awesome, but for a daily commuter its a pain in the butt...literally.**

Dave
im pretty sure s-techs are as comfortable as your going to get for lowering springs
get coilovers and set up your desire height
s-tech are really like stock springs unless you're on super bumpy roads!

I kept bottoming out with my S-Techs when I hit a dip or pot hole... I recommend Super Streets. =)
SuperStreet + EDFC is well uhm......... VERY NICE biggrin.gif

JDM Powerplant installed, BPU coming very soon!
i have KYB SR springs and shocks on mine, i know a few other ppl that run these with no issues or complaints at all...could try them kindasad.gif

no wonder there is a HUGE dent in my oil pan!!
btw, it was the tires that made you bottom out, when I put the 215/45, it never bottomed out., but dam, with the 215/40, any little un-evenness in the road would kill the crossmember:S
40/17 tyres aren't suited for a lowered Celica. A 45 side is so much nicer. Now having a 35 side on 18inch rim but going for a 40 side tyre. Speedo may be off but it will be nicer on the tracks.

lol the oil pan dent was there when I swapped it in. Oh so it was the tires... I always suspected.
either that or its your driving...i was lowered 3" with a vader kit never had a problem...oil pan was perfectly fine (rode on both 18s and 14s)
so cal roads suck from all the semis and big trucks tearing up the road...if you go back to stock you will like the feeling but miss the lowered look...think wisely on this...i went back to stock for a month and now im lowered again.

lol.. I was wondering about that.... any one know the specs for em as in kg? or what ever it is.. cause from the autox folks around me their also the "sponge tech" for the lack of support (too soft for hard driving?)
yea man well jetta is lower then celicas get so oh wells
