ok well im from a small town in the upper peninsula of Michigan.. and i have wanted a 6GC since i had a license but i could never get one cuz.. A.) i didnt have a job and B.) i live in the U.P and the snow up here is CRAZY... so this summer i decided i was going to go get one no matter what.. so i found one on the internet.. it was in minnesota.. about 6 hours away from where i live.. so i got all the paperwork from the bank and got my loan approved. i called the guy and said i was coming the next day and he said alright ill have the car ready, it needed to be inspected by the DMV because it was a salvaged car.. so anyway i drive all the way to minnesota on friday only to get there and have them say can you come back on monday and i said no way in hell am i coming all the way back here.. so they said they were going to have it trailered to MI.. so i said alright thats fair...so im waiting and waiting and i call them and they were like well i have someone here who is willing to buy it and im just like thats bull..so i told them i will be there tomorrow to come get it.. so in the end i get the car and i bring it home... i start rippin it apart the day i get it... the guy that had it before me bought a crusty ebay kit.. which we all know is pretty much a mold of a mold of a mold.. lol.. so that doesnt line up at all and the wiring in the car is all shot... well here are a couple pics i will keep everyone updated as i progress with this project... thanks for reading here are a couple pics.. keep in mind i didnt put this kit on and im going to get a new one eventually..

17" BSA Racing... and update on my headlights they just got here from Japan... woot woot now all i need is all my wiring and my relay and fuse box....

in some ways i miss being in michigan, clean air, some nice ppl, not as crowded in the country. i had a 2 acre driving range as a backyard.

whereabouts did you live in michigan lewFX...thats sweet that you had a driving range in your back yard. im all about golf.. oh yeah by the way nice car man..

*update* i bought a new front bumper from andy's auto so i'll put that on when i get it, also i bought headlights from japan... "overnight parts from japan" - fast and the furious qoute.. lol... i also got a new relay and fuse box thanks to Coomer and 6gc.net... so the car should have working headlights and the bumper should fit a lot better then the crusty one that is on there right now.. pics when i start working on this... thanks for peepin...

i got the vis invader front bumper, its the same one thats on there right now but the person that owned the car before me got the crusty ebay mold..lol.. no i am eventually going to get a new rear bumper also but i other more important stuff to buy as of right now but def. by the end of winter i should have a whole new kit,and then next summer get a new paint job...

welcome to the site, i like your car. did you paint the console or was it like that, if you did what paint did you use im thinking about doing the same thing and i want it to look good.

i painted that myself i used krylon fusion paint for plastics i think its called.. it works really well..

so im installing my new relay and fuse.. and due to it being an st relay and fuse box i have to solder all the wires.. so i am matching all the colors right.. and i go to put my battery back in and my horn wont stop beeping... i dunno if i just messed up some wires so that the horn is on an always open circuit.. it might be going off because my airbags were deployed when the car was in an accident?? but again i have no idea.. if anyone has any ideas let me know.. im going to go through all the wiring again tomorrow and see if i just made a mistake... :S

alright i just got done fixing my problems seems that it was very very minor... i plugged the harnesses in and started my car and said a few supporting words to the celi and she started.. woot woot.. i will post pics of the old harness and then post pics of all the wiring i had to do and then the finished product... thanks again coomer for coming through with the relay and fuse box...
