RE Amemiya Bonnets *update with pic* - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #39674 35 posts Started by DSRT-FX
Hey guys,
I've been doing some research and scoping things out, but there just doesnt seem to have too many different types of bonnets for our cars. I know we can get the GT-Four OEM Bonnet which i love, the C-One bonnet and also the VIS. All these bonnets are sexy in their own regards but i want something different and something thats going to suit well for my car. I know this company called RE-Amemiya, many of you may know them. Although they only specialise in RX-7 Mazda cars. Anyways C/F on black cars dont look as good as white or any other colours for that matter. So i may want to modify or create my own unique bonnet. Im actually very interested in seeing what this bonent would look like with my car. I may be able to photoshop this and see what your opinions are. Maybe with the people who have the skills and talents may be able to do this for me. -R

no clue whos ride vincent doggy posted it up

the work if you do it your self

400$ in paint
100$ in body supplies?
i'm affraid that the hood will just be heavy if you use a stock hood...a fiberglass copy would be great for this to just mold in a set of vents
i like the RX7 slightly better but i was thinking that celica minus the GT4 side vents up top

>>>>>>I will check for ya guys, this pics belonged to a celica club in Taiwan.

And the style of the bonnet is something call RE雨宮, a Japanese company who specialized on mod RX-7.

I am not sure this is actually from RE雨宮, but it look sick anyway.>

bro that is PURE hotness you need to get that done

not sure if its too much more work but can you have your friend photoshop the more aggressive style too?
also might want to have it done on a larger picture so we can see it better

i think the vents would have to be bigger to look nice... maybe 1.5x bigger.
and maybe add some gt-four rear corner hood vents and hood bonnet to perfect it. now that would look nice.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
those smaller GT4 side vents above the strut towers would ruin a hood like this
ok their custom and amazing, how much you think they would run??, i know it depends but a ballpark figure

i'll see if he'll want to do it... i chose this one coz i think i'll the suit the car more with the clean yet aggresive lines/vents. the problem is its hard to get a good angle of both the cars and then add the bonnet. the vent lines on the sides should go all the way to the back of the bonnet aswell i'll see if he can modify this -R

yeah the vents do look a little smaller than i thought it would have been. well this is a prototype and theres room for improvement. biggrin.gif with the gt-four hood vents. i really dont want this looking anything like the gt-four bonnet. reason being is i want it to look something different and id rather just get the gt-four bonnet if im going for that look, in which case im not. although i'll try and add some unqiue vents that may actually look better keep you updated bro -R

really depends on production costs and whether or not you want to modify the existing oem bonnet or one from c/f or fibre glass. the fibre glass option would be my ideal as it is easier to modify and lightweight. im guessing the $800 mark since it will be 100% custom made for the celica. -R

im not sure what kind of panel beaters you guys got out there, im from australia. that $800 was a ball park price, and using the original garage, which is RE Amemiya, would cost you 10x more than the replica prices. This company is renowned for the RX7 bodykits used in JGTC -R

hey guys!
i've got a quote from a local bodyshop store. its going to cost me $1050 to make this bonnet.
Fibre-glass vents = $250
Molding and installation to current OEM bonnet = $500
Respray = $300
What do you guys think -R i personally think its too much!

ROM-23L 67 + 76 = 143"I wasn't pursuing Sephiroth, I was being summoned by him." - Cloud Strife
ehh....i'd get them to give you the fiberglass pieces and find somewhere else to mold them cheaper..or do it yourself but otherwise i think the price is reasonably fair
do you think you could get them to make the aggressive fiberglass vents and ship them to me?
