i have got...

i almost didnt make it guys, i was wiping some grime out of my engine bay (glob of grease from when my CV boot leaked) and i knocked the vac line to my map sensor loose....but i didnt know i had knocked it loose and it was dark so i didnt see it. thankfullly i troubleshot it and it runs just as good as ever now. i hope you dont mind me tinkering around under the hood a little, im playing with the tension on my trans kickdown cable to see how more or less tension affects how the car drives. i get into this dead spot from about 33-43 where the car wants to stay in 2nd gear instead of downshifting and finishing 1st.

Alrighty guys! looks like were gonna have a good turnout! Hopefully the rain will hold off for us. Ill have a cooler with some ice. If we need somemore someone can always run and grab more. Im planning on being down there by 1030 or so just so everyone knows. Cant wait to see you all tmr at starved rock!

im planning to be there by about 11, its about an hour and a half according to google, but im leaving at 9. i'll probably be stopping from time to time along the way to tinker with that kickdown cable if i dont like where its at for highway cruising.


are we all going to go for a cruise around the area to see the sights from the cars or pretty much just stay around the grilling area?

i have to be at the back of the line, the last time i was in a line of cars i was 2nd to last and i got sandwhiched in a fender bender. beleive me, the low front of the celica will go under my car and ruin your hood just like the 2000 eclipse.

im back. holy crap, I-80 was a parking lot! sorry i dissappeared on that cruise, but we ended up stopping off and seeing starved rock and hiked around the council rock area. let me tell ya, the road to concil rock (east on 71) is FUUU-UUUN! I had my tires squeeling around several long turns and never left 2nd gear.

yea, i was sitting in nuetral with the parking brake on for about 15 or 20 minutes more than once. but thankfully it only backed up when i was within 2 miles of my exit.

coming back was fun, had there not been soo much cross wind on 80 i could have hit that 115 fuel cut that header definatly makes a heck of a difference when im in the upper rpms in 3rd gear, it keeps accelerating. coming out of the boat launch area i touched 6000rpm in 2nd and it wasnt fading like it used to.
