It's so hard to sell her, but insurance is the main reason. That car alone was $400 a month to insure. The Celica is $100 a month. I drove it daily for 2 years, and felt like a rock star everytime behind the wheel.

There were about 270 total 1999 VR-4's made. I have #16. There were 102 black on black ones, I have #2. It's in near mint condition with 101k miles. Sold it for $20,000 to another member of our international site for 3000GT's and Dodge Stealths. (www.3si.org/forum)

The "45" number comes from VR-4's that were sold NEW in 1999. (easy to see why they stopped producing them) The price was $48,000. I only take her on short cruises now to keep her well lubricated, as soon as the turbos spool up she accelerates effortlessly (fully spooled by 2800RPM). It's something that will make you crack a smile everytime.

The only thing better than that is when I take a hard turn and loose traction, then all 4 wheels start fighting and grabbing the pavement. (viscous real-time four)

just cause this is a celica site doesn't mean we can't appreciate other cars. I personally would not mind owning a 3000gt VR4!! that car is beautiful man. must feel really fast in comparison to the celica

Thanks man. Literally two times faster than the Celica, in terms of weight per wheel horsepower.
