Hey,

I was trying to get my new kyb inserts installed last night. I was trying to get the front ones in. I was able to get the entire assembly out, and was able to pull the old shocks out. When I put the new kybs in, the ring that goes over the top which secures the insert into the assembly won't screw back down. The ring is about 1/2 inch to high to fit back in. Is there another piece I need? Is there something I'm missing? I checked at the bottom of the assembly, and I don't see anything more that comes out. Any ideas? Help!

don't the new inserts come with a new screw ring ? maybe try them both and see which one works ?

odd. mine came with new rings but I was not able to screw them in the thread was diff i think, I used the original onces just fine. I still have the new rings mine came with, you can have em if you want, no garentee they will work though. I'll get a pic of them posted tonight, they could be just fine and I was just doing something wrong when trying to screw em down.

I got in touch with kyb, and they said they'll send two out to me, so hopefully that will do the trick!

Got the parts in. KYB customer service is awesome. They sent me the stuff I needed totally for free, and they got in in 3 days.

The pieces were exactly what I needed. I now have the new spring and struts in my car and they look great!

I'll post pics sometime in the next few weeks when I get the chance.
