shoot you better show me your set-up. I didn't get a clip. I got a motor set instead. It came with everything I need for the swap except for the fuel pump rely. I can do without that though.

ahh man i keep on forgetting to tell u to get motor mounts too the stock ones are not going to hold up if u push it too much...fuel pump is a must fullblown has them for pretty cheap and your going to want to get slotted or cross drill brake rotors too.. mines are getting warped from going too fast and tryin to do dead stops hahaha
Got the fronts out.

I sprayed everything with liquid wrench so hopefully it should be good to go tomorrow.
No, I already have the 255lph fuel fump. I was talking about the fuel pump relay that attatches onto the ecu. I'll upgrade my brakes if my car is running right. And I already did the poly mounts from kirkosaurous. Will they be okay?

BTW joe check out the forced induction thread lol....

ooh that relay got u let me look around i might have one from my buddy swap..and the kirkosaurous are bombing yeah those will work out..yo 99gt if u need help and live around the east side and need help swing my me and my buddys place we can do it for u in a quickness
the springs just take a little longer when you dont have a compressor. the fronts suck but the rears are easy if the links go okay. only took 2 hours to put them in when i had access to a compressor. double that to take them out without one.

well good luck with the rears if your car was originally from minnesota. most likely a bitch to take out.
mine were easy cause i replaced the links last spring when i put the springs on. i got lucky biggrin.gif

>F that noise. Thats how you get killed lol..... Just go rent on bro. If you want to ghetto rig it just pop the spring off while its still on the car. Just unscrew the center nut and it will pop there.

haha i kno i got freaked out everytime i did it...but i have done it this way 9 times (on 7 different cars and 6 diff models, did mine 3 times) for a grand total of 36 shocks and im not dead or missing any eyes or appendages, so at least on 94 accord's, 89 crx's, 98 integra's, and 89, 94, and 96 civics it works without a spring compressor

but like i said never done a celica before..but its the same deal right hex nut and allen wrench on top??? if so i think i should be able to do it the same
Hey John did you have to grind the mount for the 3rd gen?....

"You're going to have to do some grinding on the passenger side engine mount bracket. you have to grind down the hump thats on this bracket in order for it to fit on the 3sgte."
yeah i had to grind the passenger side motor mount for the motor to fit in right but all in all it work out pretty sweet...
Agreed......Minnesota cars are a bish to take of the springs.....Took me and Will about 6 hours....The fact that we were just fooling around driving to AutoZone and back 6 times and then driving my car half lowered with the rear up high to Hypertek. Great times. May as well get new endlinks "stabilizer bars" while your changing your springs. $30 a peice and you only need the rear ones.
hellz yeah. If the suspension was never touched by anyone its best to buy end links for our old ass cars.

Update, got my stage 4 clutch on and tranny back on the motor. OMG its a biatch when you don't have a tranny jack. You end up bench pressing that thing while the motor is on the lift lol....

Got them in. Links came out like butter. I took the them off from the back instead the fronts.

Now lowered and riding on sportmaxs

what about pictures? you can't just tease without pictures man, that's just rude! wink.gif
My sister took the camera haha...
Anyone going to midway tonight
Here you go Kou.

NO rubbing what so ever dude. Although not as low as I pictured but we will have to wait a month or so for it to set.

I'm riding on 205/40/17 Khumos
did you drive the car afterwards? if so, that's about it as it'll settle only a TINY TINY bit. i kind of wished it was lower, it would of looked nicer but you can't go wrong. what was the drop rate joe?
2.2" in the front and 1.5" in the rear.
Hey 99gt, I spotted you driving on Uni tonight, I waved but I don't think you saw me.
The new wheels look pretty mean, great color combo.
I looked everywhere for another 6gen but didn't see any. I was with my grandpa from Wis, I was cruising to show him around. He's more into roadsters and muscle cars so we headed down to Porky. I was only there to pick up my little bro haha.
you guys should of hit up vandalia with me. ppl still came out, it stopped raining, road dried a good amount after the burnouts. i was hoping to see other 6gen!

is there anything special i should kno about doin celica springs, cuz for the civics the trick in the back is to remove the entire rear lower control arm with the shock, that way u dont strip the head off the bolt holding the shock to the control arm....anything like that on celicas *note--havent even looked at the rear suspension on the celi yet--
wat is a good stabilizer bar to get?
Well since all cars are not the same.....you might have a hard time with your endlinks or you might not. Depends if the bolt wants to come off or not. You either take the endlinks off the control arm and take off the whole strut assembly, like I did and not use my old strut because Will stripped my allen key hole insert on the bolt. Or you take off the bolt from the strut assembly leaving it hanging from the control arm and take off the strut and replace your springs like 99GT "slipped off like butter". I'm pretty sure it's set-up almost the same as civics.

I pretty much went with the the middle of price-wise. Not sure if there's any difference in the quality of what you pay for.
It is easier than a civic!

my long awaited celica, coming soon....is finally here!
The easiest car I've ever lowered was an is300. The 06 accord wasn't bad either though.
