so i managed to break a mcguard locking lug nut key....anyone have any ideas on how to get the damn lug nut off...i've tried pounding a 5/8" socket on it and and eventually made its way to spinning off...there's gotta be a tool for this type of situation....

Pretty sure the cat's out of the bag, but for those who don't know I went the 3S route the cheap way. Now I just need everyone's help in search for a 5-speed conversion. Really need this car up and running, so I might even go for a 5sfe automatic tranny.

hey guys, i guess it's my duty to invite you guys to our Rockfalls Opener cruise. A couple mr2 owners from mr2oc are meeting up and cruising to the rockfalls season opener, and you guys are invited. I dont own an mr2 anymore, but i'll get back to an aw11 mr2 in the future eventually. I talked to greg and ger, and i'm pretty sure they're coming, too! One of my honda buddy wants to meet up with us, too, and cruise together. I believe he's bringing along an evo 10, s2000, and an ep3 civic, so it should be a fun cruise together. It's $10 to watch and $40 to run your car at rockfalls. It's the closest quarter mile track to the twin-cities (an hour and 30 minutes). Bring extra money for food and drinks, they have okay brats and hamburgers.

Here is when we are meeting; This week, April 11, Sunday. Originally, we were going to leave at 7 AM, but I'm switching it to 6:30 AM because they start checking off cars at 7:30. We'll get there at 8:00 AM, just enough time for the people who are racing to get their cars checked off. Racing starts at 9 AM. It gets boring around Noon, that's when they start racing for trophies, so that's when I'll most likely leave.

Here's the location, it's right off highway I-94 and Marion st, you can't miss it, it's the big Sears parking lot. If you are coming west, take I-94 east until you hit Marion, it's right before the highway 35E exit.

paid 3 or 400 for the whole motor minus cams and gaskets IIRC. not really sure what a good price is just for the head. my only concern is all the buckets are out of the head and i've been told that they need to go in their exact spots cause of the shims and it makes me figure ill just get a whole different head with cams and everything and i wont have to deal with any of that

The only Toyota guys that showed up at Rockfalls was me and Lou. The rest was an Alltrac 5th gen, MKIII supra, Scion TC, and a couple XRS Corolla guys. Sad really for the Toyota community. Although it 's a good thing to hear that most of us on 6GC are coming back from the dead, hopefully we'll be more active this year or the next.
