I won't go into too much detail until I can find someone that knows what I'm talking about. I just need help identifying a diode based on the color strips that are on it.
Any electronics gurus around? - 6G Celicas Forums
Color codes are for resistors. Are you sure you're looking at a diode? The diode should just have a voltage listing and a stripe on one end to indicate which direction it goes.

edit: if it ends up being a resistor, i have some books for colors..there from highschool, id have to find them

Hm... I was just assuming it was a diode. The location on the PCB is labeled D1. There are others labeled R1, R2... (resistors), and others labeled C1, C2... (capacitors). I guess I should have stayed in electronics class.
It has one orange color stripe on it, but I didn't see any numbers.
