Lip Kit Pics - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #4056 12 posts Started by JStanger
I have a guy near me who said he will sell me this kit for $250.00. I haven't seen one of these kits off of the car other than this one but I think the side skirts look kinda weird. What do you think? Especially look at the last picture. The picture of the crack is on the very bottom of the front lip on the right side. How much would that cost to get fixed? Here is the LINK

if you can work with fiberglass buy it for sure, thats a pretty easy fix. just know thats probably not a VIS kit...

Believer, you'll leave her, in leaving them allNo but I don't buy itLike anything you do, as anyone you areCause I'm...Ten Speed, of God's Blood & Burial
yeah Tims right, its not the VIS kit. Its the 404. Look at my profile you will see the VIS sides. But fiberglass isn't hard to repair.

Do the side skirts look funny
They don't look funny, there just not the VIS sides, they look more like the stock sides, thats all.

What in the hell are you guys talking about LOL
if you... like blur the picture from the left of your car it will look like your car is sliding into the spot from the side.

oh ok I see I see. Someone want to do it for me ?
as far as the crack goes, you just need to thin the paint in the area around the crack, snad the edges smooth as you can around the crack, then go to autozone, buy for $11.99 a kit that comes with a fibreglass mat, resin, hardener and a spreader

go home, cut a sheet about 2" by 2", mix the hardener with the resin(read instructions for measuring amount) take a paint brush, and spread over the fiberglass sheet, soak it with the resin/hardener, slap the piece over the crack and use the spreader to flatten the fiberglass to lay flush with the rest of the lip.

let it dry a few hours, then take a power sander and sand down the patch, once its flat, use sandpaper to smooth the surface(go from 150 - prolly 1000 grit)

then take it somewhere to be painted

total extra cost of $11.99 + your time cause I'm guessing youll have to get the lip repainted regaurdless

goodluck
