Wide tire pics? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #40626 10 posts Started by bdog_v
Hey guys I have a 94 GT celica and I think it looks silly standing at the front or the rear corner as all four tire fender openings bulge out on the top and make the tires look narrow. So

-I want to see pics with wide rims + tires that fill out this bulge and give it that sports car look!

-Please list what size the rims and tires actually are so I know what to buy. I want that high end wide tire sports car look!!!!! Show me what you guys got........
Thanks, Brandon
O.k. guys how about anybody with tires wider than stock. Or any ideas on how you move the tire out farther in the fender to fill in the bulge on the top of the fender. Please list dimensions!!! I know someone has dealed with this ..............
Give it some time, it's Saturday, everyone's sleepin in... tongue.gif

I wish I could help, but I don't think that my tires are what you're looking for:

"I bet you drive a standard." "You could make some money off that bet." :D
you can add spacers or get rims with a different offset. here's the thread about it

Thanks for the replies guys. Those rims look pretty good! Did you use any spacers to make them sit out wider? They seem to fill in the bulge at the top of the fender in the picture. Does anyone know what the widest tire rim combo one could fit on this vehicle?

no spacers (adding a spacer would rub the fenders)
also about a 2.5 - 3" drop
^^ wow it was actually together in one point in its life.

shhh nobody is supposed to know wink.gif
The problem you'll find with using spacers is that you'll need longer studs in your hub unless you go for something like the H&R spacers:

Personally, I'd rather go for alloys with a more suitable offset rather than use spacers. (the lower the offset value, the more it sticks out, btw). Will be sticking 17x8 alloys that have an offset of ET35 on GT4 this tuesday. Hopefully should line up nicely to the arches
