5S-FE Header - 6G Celicas Forums

its not the block the header bolts to, its the head. even if it does bolt up it looks like the collector is too far to one side.

yeah meng, i'm only about half as stupid as i look. rolleyes.gif

i'm just not going to buy one of those janky chrome headers from ebay...but i don't see too many other options. i thought that the stock 3sge and 3sfe cylinder heads and exhaust manifolds bolted up.

maybe i should just ask what kinds of aftermarket headers people are actually using and liking?

edit: i don't think the collector pos'n is an issue....the oil filter is on the f.o.c left of the motor, and i'd be getting all new pipe run.

my janky 304 stainless ebay header is just fine  but its not for your engine.

someone here got the ebay header for the 5sfe and said it works fine, tho the cheap chrome came off. but thats not a problem, just toss on a coat of header paint or wrap them.

no, theyre not if you're in cali, have a under hood visual inspection, are cali spec engine and get the sniffer.

you have to do the sparkplug antifouler trick to get the check engine light from removing the precat to go away. it just spaces the sensor out so it gets a smaller sample and tells the pcm the precat is there even tho its not.
