After driving around, going to school, work, my gfs house i get ton of little bug splatters all over the hood and front bumper of my car and they are soooo damn hard to scrap off. I literally have to get my nail and scrap the bug crap off, which im guessing really isnt good for my car. washing the car doesnt help very much at all. so im wondering if anybody knew of some type of spray or solution i can use to get this stuff off with ease. From far away you cant notice the bug crap but up close its pretty bad. kindasad.gif

its called wax. apply on car after washing. drive car. bugs hit car. wash car with relative ease. bugs now come off easy becasue of the magical and mysterious properties of the wax.

oh man, I was gonna say that your problem was you probably lived somewhere with a ton of bugs. but then I saw you live in the bay area like me.. I've never had problems with bugs... but my car gets a thick dirt/dust layer on it, sometimes only 2-3 days after washing. grr..

Guess waxing is my only option then, I've never waxed my car before. well theres always a first for everything.

wouldnt a claybar be a better option? ive never used a claybar but its supposed to get rid of all the contaminants on the surface.

Approved by major automotive manufacturers
Clear-coated 9-mil urethane film
UV inhibitors resist yellowing
No mechanical attachments, unsightly guards or bras
Minimizes stone chips
Professional application recommended for best results

you do know they make ''bug ****'' for cars, taht is supposed to get the bugs off in a matter of seconds, i dont htink its liek a repelant, but its supposed to make the bugs come off easily. jsut go to a car store, or somewhere wheer you can get car cleaning products. otherwise jsut wax the crap out of it

Anyone who lives in Florida can tell you about the "love bug" problem in May when they swarm for mating purposes. The can plaster your windsheild so thick that you have to pull over and scrape them off. They almost become cemented to the body of your car. People have found that the best solution to use to wash them off is Coca Cola. It really works and will do no harm to your paint, just rinse with water.
